Dear Mr. Jean-François Dupouy
In response to your question of January 3, 2009, please find below the information sent to you by our sister NABGAA 112 daughter of DORIO 34 at the time of her departure, more than four years ago.
I would like to respond in part to the question you posed on July 8, 2003, concerning the compilation of electronic messages that you publicly exchange with each other about our civilization of UMMO. We note with some dismay that our texts are, for you and your brothers, a source of speculation, sometimes based on trivial details and often on a lack of precision in our formulations.
We have, in the past, informed your brothers that your artistic development is exceptional, especially in the field of music. You must understand by this statement that we have not encountered, in our travels, any advanced civilization that has developed this art to the level of perfection achieved by your great classical or contemporary artists. Similarly, pictorial or sculptural art is more accomplished on your planet than on OYAUMMO. These statements do not mean that disciplines such as music, sculpture or painting are unknown on UMMO, although in the latter field we dare not claim a form of pictorial expression that you would qualify as artistic. Our music is based on crystalline tones and xylophonic percussion, not on a melodic sequence of standardized acoustic frequencies. Our ears are accustomed to these sounds, which we find pleasant and which lead to an increase in serenity and an elevation of our general emotional state. Our architecture can hardly be compared to yours on an aesthetic level, as monumental constructions follow totally different patterns on our two worlds. In particular, we banish all angular forms from our buildings, systematically preferring the harmony of curves. However, just as we appreciate your pyramids, castles, temples, mosques or cathedrals, you would no doubt appreciate our administrative, religious or cultural buildings, which are often buried in the ground and only offer the outside visitor a glazed ensemble reflecting the sky, surrounded by fragrant bushes and flowerbeds. Our landscape art is highly developed and practiced by our entire population from an early age. We have mastered the art of perfume as much as you have music, and we have found no other civilization as expert in this field. In a way, it's true, we take a certain pride in this art, which is the only one that allows us to distinguish ourselves from the other civilizations we know, all of which surpass us from time to time on one or other point of our social, scientific, spiritual or artistic development. As for you, you can take the same pride in your musical art.
It's striking to note the similarities in the prehistoric pictorial art of our two cultures. Our ancestors have long lived in the natural and man-made caves that dot our planet. The figurative rock art found, for example, in the caves of Lascaux or Altamira, is thus transposed to UMMO at a significantly more elaborate level, thanks to a better knowledge of pigments and a more advanced evolutionary stage of the OEMMII authors of these works.
We have already informed your brothers in the past of the existence on UMMO of museums dedicated to OYAGAA. Your ecological, ethnological and artistic diversity has led us to erect three separate buildings, each dedicated to one of these three spheres and located in three different colonies. Our UMMO brothers and sisters are familiar with the most remarkable aspects of your beautiful planet, as well as the most significant episodes in your history, past and present, which we do not seek to qualify with any paternalistic or diplomatic condescension towards your peoples. You should know that one of our brothers, who communicated with your brothers in Spain nearly forty years ago under the name DAA 3, son of EYEA 502, is actively involved in the development of the OYAGAA museum dedicated to artistic culture, whose architecture he himself designed, inspired by the Colosseum in Rome. He continues to promote your culture on UMMO. I myself attended, in this museum, the broadcast of one of your classical liturgical works recorded in a church or cathedral. However, OYAGAA's culture remains somewhat hermetic to us at first glance. While your musical, pictorial, sculptural and architectural arts are now correctly identified by our UMMO brothers and sisters, and appreciated by part of our population, your literature and classical myths are only really known to a small number of specialists. On the other hand, the splendor of your wilderness and the exuberance of color found in your flora and fauna are unanimously recognized on UMMO and make OYAGAA a jewel that it is our moral duty to preserve. We are undoubtedly more aware of this than many of your own brothers, blinded by greed as futile as it is devastating.
We can't protect you from your own wilful mistakes, but we want to gradually raise awareness among your brothers and sisters of the existence of a common planetary identity, shared by all your peoples and including your entire ecosystem. It is your responsibility as OEMMII to maintain and develop this global planetary network to its full potential. It's true that our OUAA (moral laws) forbid us to interfere directly with any foreign civilization. However, our OUAA oblige us to protect life in all its forms. The state of emergency in which your planet finds itself thus compels us to intervene indirectly within your very social network to try to minimize the catastrophic effects that could result from the often irrational decisions of your leaders.
The military authorities of your principal nations know the reality of the extraterrestrial presence on your planet. They have constantly demonstrated the futility of any attempt to repress our space or atmospheric vehicles, whose stealth threshold we have deliberately lowered. Some spectacular actions have been carried out to convince them that our intention is not to harm, although our coercive capacity could be formidable. Assistance or prevention actions are carried out from time to time when we deem them necessary and if their effects do not harm your social network. The Chernobyl disaster was a major event in your history, the result of a succession of negligent and unintentional errors. We would like to take this opportunity to express our respect for your brothers who were on the spot during the long, exhausting hours, during which their self-sacrifice and dedication were remarkable.
I hope I have given you an unambiguous answer to your first set of questions. You will find attached overleaf a supplement concerning the IEGOOSSAA anthropoids from UMMO, the subject of another of your questions.
Please bear in mind, Mr Jean-François Dupouy, the special nature of this correspondence. There is no objective evidence to support the identity or implicit origin of its author. Simply consider that your questions have been answered, and that the author hopes to have satisfied your legitimate curiosity. Please accept the expression of my sincere respect expressed, in accordance with UMMO custom, by symbolically resting my hand against your chest.
APPENDIX: MORE ABOUT OOMO'S ANTHROPOID ANIMALS
We are honored by your interest in our UMMO civilization, and I'd be delighted to answer any questions you may have about the IEGOOSSAA animal species.
These cave-dwelling animals are omnivorous anthropoids, mainly fond of fruit, insects and fish, which you can compare to large chimpanzees with thick white or slightly golden hair. However, unlike these terrestrial primates, IEGOOSSAA are totally bipedal, with a strong differentiation in conformation between hands and feet. The latter have no prehensile function, although the toes are more developed than the vestigial toes of OEMMIIs. The IEGOOSSAA differ from the other anthropoid species of UMMO by their larger size and sharper intelligence. They have a complex communication language combining body or facial mimics and modulated calls. They are organized in highly hierarchical groups, from which they only leave at breeding time. After mating, they all return to the original cell, where the females give birth to their newborn offspring, who then join the group. Territorial struggles are frequent between the different groups, and invariably degenerate into deadly battles in which only the large adult males take part, strongly encouraged by the cries and agitation of the females and young. The death of one of the dominant males invariably marks the outcome of the fight, and the defeated group is savagely hunted down. Individuals killed in battle are taken in charge by the females of the victorious group and subjected to a ritual funeral ceremony in which they are covered with leaves and branches, regardless of their clan of origin.
The IEGOOSSAA live in the upper
part of our WOAROO colony, which is a nature reserve. We maintain relations only with border groups. We voluntarily exchange edible foodstuffs with them for small polished pebbles of various colors, which we use mainly for our landscape art. We use them, for example, to compose frescoes, design paths or decorate the beds of the streams and watercourses we create to embellish our allotments and communal parks. This bartering avoids the territorial expansion of border families into areas allocated to the IEGOOS, and helps maintain a peaceful relationship between our two peoples.
We distinguish between the IEGOOSSAA and the AAGA IEGOOSSAA, who come from a group selected at the beginning of our third age, and in whom we try to stimulate a directed evolution by pairing the individuals we consider most promising, hoping one day to activate in them the OEMBOUAW function - the soul connection we have already defined in our letters in the past - and thus bring them to the stage of conscious OEMMII.
The term AAGA, in its general acceptation, refers to a restriction of freedom of movement through constant control. We could translate it as: under constant vigilance. In the case of IEGOOSSAA AAGAs, the closest you'll get to the term AAGA in your language would be: domesticated.
The IEGOOSSAAs and OEMMIIs of UMMO are from the same phylum, and of course we share many more genes with them than you and we do. All the laboratory experiments attempted in the past to obtain a cross between AAGA IEGOOSSAA and OEMII have only resulted in the creation of monstrous, decerebrate or non-viable hybrids. Significant differences in cell chromatin composition make cross-breeding of animal or plant species between OYAUMMO and OYAGAA absolutely unthinkable without the use of advanced biotechnological means.
AAGA IEGOOSSAA are now fully domesticated. They live peacefully as a family in specially adapted IGOYAABII (caves or grottoes) inside the wooded enclosures of university centers where their behavior is studied. They enjoy relative freedom, and are sometimes employed in social tasks for which they are better suited than OEMII, such as harvesting fruit or carrying heavy loads over difficult terrain. In fact, they are fully integrated into our social network, and a strong sense of mutual affection binds us to them. They understand the main words of our oral language, and express themselves graphically to each other and to the OEMMII by pointing to an ordered sequence of symbols arranged in a set of 38 basic colored ideograms inscribed on a belly apron that constitutes a sort of clothing keyboard.
However, a comparison of the evolution of AAGA IEGOOSSAA and free-living IEGOOSSAA over more than a millennium on earth leads us to a strong conclusion of failure. Despite an undeniably lower level of intelligence, the latter integrate more strongly the notions of social network and solidarity than the former, who sometimes develop depressive syndromes or asocial behavior leading them to reject their fellow creatures. This leads us to predict that the OEMBOUAW link - the W is pronounced like the short OR in the word "yes" - will occur primarily in IEGOOSSAA left to their own devices. However, reintegrating IEGOOSSAA AAGAs into their original natural environment is out of the question, as they would be unable to sustain the aggression of their wild brethren and would inevitably perish within a few generations.
The comparative behavioral study of the two populations over this long period of time is of inestimable interest in understanding the emergence of pre-human factors in animals. It also gives us the profound conviction that the directed evolution of a human or proto-human population is desirable only in certain borderline situations, and in any case over a very restricted period of time. However, minor interactions with such a population may induce the emergence of desirable social phases, and the decline of others that would prove detrimental to the social network as a whole.
Your sister Jane Goodall's documentary work on chimpanzees is an illuminating reminder of the importance of studying the behavioral similarities and differences between humans and other evolved primates. These documentaries highlight the importance of both the notion of a social network and the role of each individual/node within such a network. You need to remember at all times that man is a social being whose role - in his case, his responsibility - is not only to maintain the stability of his own social network, but also to generate negentropy within that network and the planet's ecology. This is a fundamental moral law.
THE ASTRONOMICAL ORIGIN OF OUR TEMPORAL COMPUTATION
Our way of evaluating great periods is different from yours, and has been maintained throughout our history, having its origins in a very ancient astronomical measure. We sometimes mistakenly define the XEE ("year" of UMMO) as the third of the period of revolution of our OYAA UMMO around our sun IOUMMA. The XEE value is 77.3 Earth days.
IOUMMA is a star with a mass of 1.48.1030 kilograms. Its light spectrum is red-shifted compared to your Sun, with photometric indices U-B and B-V equal to 1.15 according to your reference system.
UMMO orbits IOUMMA on a quasi-circular trajectory with an eccentricity of 0.0078. The average distance UMMO - IOUMMA is 9.96.1010 meters. Another large OYAA, NAWEE, orbits IOUMMA on an elliptical trajectory with an eccentricity of 0.026, at an average distance of 5.97.1010 meters.
Ancient astronomers used the two stars IOUMMA and NAWEE as references, the latter being clearly visible in conjunction with IOUMMA at dusk and dawn.
The astronomers observed NAWEE's upper conjunction passages in alignment with IOUMMA, which occurs on average every 2.571 XEE, or 0.866 of UMMO's sidereal revolution time. At each conjunction, they noted a significant vertical variation in NAWEE's position relative to IOUMMA's disk (see figure 1), with the oscillation resetting every XEEUMMO - eighteen XEE - when NAWEE had completed thirteen full revolutions and UMMO six revolutions (figure 2). Cosmologists, unaware that UMMO's ecliptic plane had a distinct orientation from NAWEE's, concluded that UMMO's trajectory was bi-helical, and that UMMO described three downward and three upward translations, on the fictitious surface of a cylinder, to complete one XEEUMMO (figure 3).
The above diagrams are for educational purposes only, and are deliberately reduced to ideal, simplified configurations.
XEE can therefore be defined as one third of the period of revolution of UMMO. There is, however, a minor error in this definition, as the ancient cosmologists of UMMO mostly worshipped the number π. They insisted on matching the XEE value to the fraction 2/(2+π) of NAWEE's synodic revolution time, accepting a drift of six OUIW (18.55 minutes) every XEE. The cumulative drift thus reaches one OUIW day every 100 XEE and one XEE every 6,000 XEE. The followers of the cult of NAWEE, indignant at this offence to objective rigour, immediately promulgated an eschatological edict announcing the end of time at the end of a 6000 XEE cycle if the error was not rectified. The monarch of the day ruled in favor of the majority. The error was ignored, and continues to this day. A few projects were proposed in the past to influence UMMO's orbit in order to cancel the drift, but the various UMMOAELEWEE to which they were submitted systematically rejected them.
Aside from these XEE considerations, another drift exists in the definition of XI (day of UMMO), which in practice corresponds to 600 OUIW. The actual value, however, is 600.0117 IOW. This approximation of the XI value logically implies a progressive shift in the OUIW sunrise time at a given fixed point on the UMMO equator. When OUIW was introduced during the scientific boom of our people's second historical era, the official value of XI was redefined and an attempt was made to readjust the calendar to give it a better correlation with astronomical reality. A YESW was added to the time count every 84 XI, with the exception of once every 84 XEE. This method was quickly abandoned as unnecessarily complex. On UMMO, we don't need a precise calendar calculation to know when to sow our crops according to future climatic conditions. Climatic conditions on UMMO are entirely dependent on latitude, and in no way on UMMO's physical positioning on its orbital path.
Attached to this letter is the French translation of the reply we recently gave to one of your young brothers from Freie Hansestadt Bremen, who asked about the existence of leap years on UMMO. The present letter is a supplement to that reply, from which it takes up a few passages.
APPENDIX: DETAILS OF OUR CALENDAR SYSTEM
I realize that this may seem strange to you, but there is no specific word in our language to designate the time of revolution of UMMO around our sun IOUMMA. For us, this time is not a reference, and the word "year" has no strict equivalent in our language. We use the term SAAXEE to refer to UMMO's period of revolution.
Our notion of the day, on the other hand, is identical to yours. UMMO's rotation time on its axis is exactly 600.0117 OUIW. One OUIW, our unit of time measurement, is equivalent to 185.527 terrestrial seconds. Our official time count, however, considers one nycthemer (XI) to be exactly 600 OUIW.
We use the term XEE (pronounced xéè) to refer to our calendar periods. One XEE corresponds to exactly 60 XI. It would be incorrect to translate this term by a simple word in your language. It corresponds functionally to the term "year" used in your language, but does not have the same astronomical meaning. The XEE was determined by our ancient astronomers as the fraction 2/(2+π) of the mean synodic period between two passages of NAWEE in superior conjunction on the same vertical axis passing through the center of the IOUMMA disk. NAWEE is what you call a "gas giant", about half the size of your planet Saturn, NAWEE orbits IOUMMA on a closer orbit than UMMO. It is clearly visible in our sky at the moment of IOUMMA's sunrise and sunset. Its extremely hot atmosphere is animated by strong convective currents and permanently agitated by violent thunderstorms that cause incessant scintillations and give it a luminosity of its own, complementary to the light reflected from IOUMMA. Its apparent movement has been observed since ancient times, with NAWEE at the heart of prehistoric cults and primitive legends that can still be deciphered today on megalithic stelae engraved in the early days of writing.
NAWEE characteristics
Equatorial radius: 6.22.107 m
Mass: 9.91.1025 kg
Mean distance to IOUMMA: 5.97.1010 m
Orbital eccentricity: 0.026
Orbital inclination with respect to IOUMMA: 1.53°.
During six orbital cycles of UMMO, seven superior synodic conjunctions of NAWEE are observable. Our ancient astronomers used the apparent path of this star relative to IOUMMA to define a calendar. However, due to the orbital eccentricities of NAWEE and IOUMMA, the time between two conjunctions is not constant. It takes eighteen XEEs - one XEEUMMO - to observe a complete astronomical cycle between NAWEE and UMMO. The XEE was therefore defined as the eighteenth part of this apparent cycle, which is precisely equivalent to 1079.979 rotation periods of UMMO (1391.22 Earth days). The value of XEE was deliberately set at exactly 60 ancient XI. Although the value of XI was subsequently readjusted, the definition of XEE remains unchanged. One XEE is therefore equivalent to 36,000 OUIW (111316.36 minutes or 77.303 terrestrial days). UMMO's sidereal revolution period, equivalent to around 229.5 terrestrial days, is considerably less than three XEE.
Approximations made to the values of XI and XEE lead, as with you, to an offset in relation to astronomical reference frames. Approximating the value of XI logically implies a progressive shift in the sunrise time of our solar star at a given fixed point on the UOEMO equator. When OUIW was introduced during the scientific boom of our people's second historical era, the official value of XI was redefined and an attempt was made to readjust the calendar to better correlate it with astronomical reality. A YESW was added to the time count every 84 XI, with the exception of once every 84 XEE. This method was quickly abandoned as unnecessarily complex. On UMMO, we don't have the imperative of a precise calendar calculation to know when to sow our crops according to future climatic conditions. Climatic conditions are entirely dependent on latitude, and in no way on UMMO's physical positioning on its orbital path.
As an anecdote, we can confide in you that the chronicles that record the creation of our calendar, in year 0 of our first era, indicate that a quarrel took place between the astronomers, followers of a cult based on sacred mathematics, and the theologians of the NAWEE cult during the establishment of the XEE. The latter, extremely rigorous, did not accept the approximation made by the royal astronomers for theological reasons around the constant π, then associated with the purest expression of divinity. They declared that UMMO mankind would perish when the discrepancy between NAWEE's true synodic period and the official XEE reached one XEE to the count of 6000 XEE. The reigning monarch rejected this imprecation. He had the NAWEE priests behind it stripped naked and publicly castigated. The cult gradually disappeared thereafter. We can draw an indicative parallel between the evolution of our two cultures by linking this event on UMMO with that of the establishment of your Gregorian calendar. The beginning of our first era corresponds fairly precisely to the social and technological developments observed in Europe during the Renaissance.
For UMMOAELEWE: NABGAA 112 daughter of DORIO 34, approved by AYIOA 1 son of ADAA 67
On the list 3/01/2009 :In the referenced document (D 33-3, you mention the existence on UMMO a species of anthropoïde, animal similar to the chimpanzee of the EARTH, but that is more "very intelligent". This animal that you call AAGA IEGOOSAAA do this not that I understood the connection via the atoms of krypton feature beings with a soul.
-What relationship do you have with this species is "intelligent"?
-Can we imagine that the evolution will lead this species to have a soul as this occurred in the prehistoric land from species similar?
-A cohabitation serene is it possible on a planet between a species advanced, wise, and peaceful, and an intelligent species in become which you can expect it to be driven by primary instincts and the expansionary this stage of evolution?
-Your morphology is close to that of the human of the EARTH, at least externally, your origins are in a relationship with this animal AAAIEGOOSAAA which phyla have evolved differently?
I know, it's not a lot of questions...
